We had a wind advisory last night. The winds would kick up, and then we would get rain showers. Our weather went on like this for a few hours, and then things calmed down before bedtime.
After dropping my daughter off at preschool this morning, I drove around the corner to see how one of my signs held up. The only thing that was still standing was the frame with the "Sale Pending" rider on the top. Everything else was on the ground.
I pulled up by the frame, and started putting the pieces back together. An elderly lady was close by, waiting with a little girl for the school bus. I found the clips for the name rider and attached everything back to the main panel. There was only one thing missing-one of the bolts that connect the panel to the frame. I would have to go back to the office to get a bolt, and it would be a few hours before I could swing back around to put the other side back up. I left the panel dangling from one side of the frame. It looked funny, but it was back up.
When I got back to the sign later, someone had taken a metal ring and temporarily hooked the side of my sign panel to the top of the frame. I was so surprised and grateful to the person who cared. I'm not sure if it was the lady from that morning, the man who was waiting in the same spot for a little boy who was getting off of a bus when I got back, or someone entirely different, but thank you. You made my day brighter with your act of kindness:)
